Chemical Peel
Client's Testimonial
I never gave much thought to my skincare regiment. At fifteen, I started getting acne really bad which left dark spots on my face and neck. I simply covered the imperfections in the years that followed with concealer and foundation. One day at work, a gentleman came in offering discount spa packages for All About You, a new salon/spa that had just opened up. It was at my6 facial appointment that I met Joanne, the owner. During a regular facial we discussed my skin and caring for it. I expressed that I wanted to improve my skin tone and suffer fewer breakouts. I also inquired about procedures that would remove the discoloration from my face caused by acne and sun damage. She told me abou7t microdermabraision and chemical peels. I knew a little about them because my sister is an esthetician also and had the procedures performed on her skin with gorgeous results. Joanne recommended the Jessner peel start with. She explained everything during the procedure. It was uncomfortable but not unbearable. I can best describe it as a really warm tingly sensation across your face. My skin after the treatment would flake similar to a slight sunburn. The results were very good. The spots either left or got considerably lighter. This procedure we did several times due to my drastically uneven skin tone. After each procedure my skin felt smoother with a much better texture and a wonderful glow. We then decided to go more aggressive with a TCA peel. Again, Joanne explained the procedure in depth before and throughout the procedure. This peel was a lot more concentrated and the burning sensation was intense. Afterwards, my skin peeled quite a bit. It worried me at some points because my skin was pink similar to a burn victim but Joanne always took time to address concerns professionally and thoroughly. She would see me every couple of days to see how my skin was progressing. Eventually we began to see my pigmentation spot disappearing revealing a new clear skin. The damaged layers were completely gone and the end result was beautiful. My skin feels rejuvenated after these treatments.I now have an even complexion that I can apply make-up to enhance myself is priceless. Frequently, I go about my day without make up which never did before. I'm so grateful to Joanne throughout this journey to really educate me on the importance of taking proper c are of my skin. After several procedures to correct my skin I could not be happier.

Before and After
Chemical peels, also known as chemical resurfacing, are chemical treatments to produce an improved appearance of the face. Chemical peels are used for the treatment of photoaging (from sun damage), wrinkles, scarring, acne, pre-cancerous lesions, and discoloration (dyschromia) or uneven skin tone. Chemical peels produce controlled injury to the skin to promote the growth of new skin with an improved appearance.
Many different chemicals are used including glycolic acid, trichloroacetic acid (TCA), salicylic acid, “Jessners“ solution, and phenol. The different chemicals produce different degrees of injury to the skin.
All clients wanting a chemical peel must first have a thorough consultation. Most clients will need to start a pre-peel solution at home as part of their take home products.

Salicylic Peels 10% to 40%
Salicylic Acid’s capacity for deep pore penetration makes it an excellent choice for those prone to mild and moderate acne vulgaris. Dead skin and debris can plug the delicate pore resulting in blackhead, whiteheads and acne eruptions.
Salicylic Acid’s winning combination of anti-septic and exfoliating properties promotes a clear, healthy complexion! A Salicylic Acid Peel will begin to purge clogged pores even after the first peel. As a result, acne breakouts may temporarily heighten. Nevertheless, the pore purification process will ultimately improve acne conditions and provide a clear path to beautiful skin!
Cost $65.00--$85.00 depending on strength

Jessner Peel 14%
Due to its unique blend of active peeling agents, the medium strength Jessner’s Solution skin peel revitalizes and renews skin like none other. Lactic acid (alpha hydroxy acid) renews the surface of the skin as salicylic acid (beta hydroxy acid) exfoliates deep within the pore lining to dissolve obstructing comedones.
Cost $150.00 & Up

TCA Peel 10%--30%
Unlike progressive, medium grade peels, such as Glycolic or Salicylic, TCA Peels exfoliate the skin more rapidly upon initial contact. The long-lasting results make it an ideal peel for those who prefer less peeling sessions at the cost of moderate downtime. TCA’s dexterity for treating a wide range of skin conditions from wrinkles to even melanoma makes it the perfect chemical peel for individuals with multiple concerns. Due to Trichloroacetic Acid’s antibacterial properties, the TCA Peel is a particularly excellent choice for individuals suffering from chronic acne vulgaris. Fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, acne as well as an uneven skin tone can all serve to benefit from a TCA Peel.
